Good morning my slaying gals.

Hope you guys feel refreshed and ready for the new week ahead. I’ve been bursting at the seams of excitement. Posting my first review on my blog after a couple if MIA months. A lot in my personal life have been happening but none the less, I’m back! Today’s review will be on the amazing Givenchy products haul I discovered.

This has probably been the most difficult product to match my skin all my life (the struggle is real y’all), FOUNDATION! I’ve never really got the exact color that matches my skin color to perfection. But my luck has changed, as I was browsing through the makeup isle wondering if I should try something new, I decided to go to the Givenchy section.

To be honest I have never used any of their beauty products or worn any of their clothes #goals. As I went to the very friendly makeup artist there she immediately sat me down and started analyzing my skin. They ask you about your whole skincare routine and what products you use to give you the best option on the exact type of foundation you should use.

I struggle with eczema and acne some days, so I can’t go to oily or to matte. I’m in between. So I’ve been using a matte foundation which has been making me look very dry and that’s when I decided enough is enough. The artists gave me some samples of their skincare products of theirs. So this is just my honest review on my experience on these products.

Givenchy Photo'Perfexion Fluid Foundation

Inspired by digital imaging, Photo'Perfexion foundation recreates the perfect skin quality obtained with digital touch-ups, while remaining completely natural. Givenchy's exclusive, SkinPerfector Complex, acts like a digital eraser and Lighting Complex, adjusts the luminosity to the contours of the face to erase irregularities, imperfections and fine lines, as if by magic.

I use N°05 Perfect Praline and there are 8 shades to choose from. The best part of it is that it also has an SPF 20 in. It is definitely not the biggest range of shades but the experienced make-up artist will help you. They do have a couple of other types of foundations you can choose from.

I feel out of my own experience that finding the right foundation color is probably the hardest product to match out of all the shopping for Make-up. First of all you need to make sure what kind of skin texture you are, oily or matte finish and then looking for the right shade. With the Givenchy Photo’Perfexion you have total control over medium to full coverage.

Some days I will just apply a single layer for the more natural look and other days I will build on the first layer for a more full coverage look. This foundation is the best if you are looking for a dewier luminous look. It stays put on my face the whole day long. Even when I wore it as a full coverage look this past weekend for a wedding, it didn’t move. It has the most beautiful natural finish. This product is on the more expensive side, but totally worth it. The Givenchy Photo’Perfexion Fluid Foundation retails for about R724 and I bought mine at Edgars Red Square store.

Givenchy Hydra Sparkling Skincare Range

So in the process of buying foundation the make-up artist showed me some of the skincare products I can use for my problematic skin (the good sales person she is J). She gave me a couple of samples to try out. The one is the Hydra Sparkling Moisturizing & Embellishing Foam Mask

Enriched in SWC®, this intensly hydrating mask combines a fresh and frosty texture with the weightlessness of an airy foam. Bathed in coolness and hydration, skin appears revitalized, comfortable and glowing. Skin looks smoother, more luminous, more elastic, as if plumped from within

With its concentrated moisture, the SWC® releases the hydrating powers of its ingredients into the epidermis, helping to replenish the skin's water reserves and offering an optimal moisturizing action.

Combined with Aqua-Keep technology, this innovative formula gives the mask a unique feel. Tiny granules capture and encapsulate the water reserves created and roll over the skin's surface to gently release hydration into the very heart of the skin. The foam mask retails for R945

Enriched with Sparkling Water Complex® and absorbent microspheres to minimize signs of excess sebum, this subtly sensorial and ultra-light cream moisturizes skin prone to excess shine.

The skin is soft and velvety, radiating a pure, sparkling, non-shiny light.

The Velvet Luminescence Moisturizing Cream concentrates :

The Sparkling Water Complex® (SWC®) with its dual “light moisturizing” and “light energizing” technology that adds “the effervescence of sparkling water” in the skin for a dazzling light effect.

Oat extract, composed of matrix and spherical polymers with absorbent properties, is combined with a moisturizing agent, hyaluronic acid, to form a soft, supple film on the skin's surface and minimizes signs of excess sebum. The cream retails for R1069

These products are really worth the money and I would definitely spend my money again on these. It's always important to look after your skin as it is the canvas on what you start with your make-up. I hope you guys enjoyed the review and let me know if i should do more of these. Hope you guys have a great week. I will be posting twice a week on the blog. Come and pop in and let me know what you guys would like to see.

Keep on slaying

Chantelle
