Halo my lovely slaying girls!
Hope you guys had an awesome weekend? Thank goodness the sun is shining again, I was grateful for the rain but it started to get rough. We had flood warnings and lucky me, I was stuck in traffic on my way to work for 3 hours, yes 3 hours of brutal traffic. It has been a very productive couple of days as I stated working at a new company, so starting work again after a 3 week "holiday" was kind of rough. Luckily my body is adapting to the routine again.
So we work hard and we shop hard and, all my makeup lovers will know that retail therapy just makes everything better. I love shopping for makeup and, the drugstore makeup isle is my happy place. In today's post I'm sharing the products that I bought. Not all of them are new releases, just products that I wanted to try out. I bought all of these products with my own money and I share my own personal thought and opinions on these products

I won't be untruthful to you guys, or give good reviews if I know that the product is not good, or worth your money. So let's get right into the post... So this haul is all makeup products and that I found is very affordable for the quality. The first one up is a foundation that I fell in love with instantly.

I fell in love with this L'Oreal Foundation, it lasts so long and still have that fresh look after hours. I go to gym after work and, girl, I kid you not when I say that my foundation still looks perfect after a heavy session.
This foundation is very high-coverage and hydrating. It doesn't have a matte finish, so for all my oily girls, I don't recommend using this foundation, L'Oreal does have a matte formula in this foundation. This is hands down my go to foundation and it only retails for R199,95 which is so affordable for a foundation that is this good quality.

I have used Maybelline products when I started wearing makeup. I've found my new favorite setting powder from Maybelline. The Master-Fix Baking and Bright Loose Powder Illuminates your under eye and sets your concealer in place.
I never use to "bake" my under eye, but now I can't do my makeup without it. I don't set my whole face with it, just my under eye, chin and nose. This is such a good quality setting powder. I bought mine for R159.95 at Dischem

O my word! I can't understand how the beauty industry have never thought of this kind of product. What a revolution, I couldn't find the exact shade for my foundation and, you differ shades depending on seasons as well, tanned in summer and pale in winter, well in my case.
This is a huge help because, I have a lot of foundations that are to light for me, but just adding 2 drops of The Transformation Drops to my foundation and it's just the right shade. You just need to be careful of not having s heavy hand because it's very pigmented. Let's just say the firt time I used it, I looked very tanned. This is so affordable, only R69'99

I know this isn't a new launch, but I've only recently started using products from L.A Girl and they are such good quality for the price. I decided to try out the Spice Blush Pallet, because I was looking for a new contouring shadow. I get a lot of shades for your money.
You get 2 blush shades, bronzer and a highlighter in the pallet. The blush shades are so beautiful and pigmented, the bronzer is just the right shade for my skin color. I will be honest the highlighter is not that great, I wish that it was a lot more pigmented and 'blinding' cause honey, I like to shine. But, overall I like the pallet and there are 4 different pallet's for each skin tone. So you can match the best color for you and they only retail for R99,95, SCORE!!!

Catrice launched a Limited Trend Collection called "Travelight". This collection has a 50's look to it and the collection includes a Blush & Bronze, Cool & Matt Lip Color, Matt Primer Stick, Eye Shadow Palette, Glow Mist, Nail Polish and the Liquid Matte Eyeliner.
I decided to try out the Matt Navy Blue Eyeliner. It's a dipping eyeliner with a felt tip applicator. The thing that I didn't like about it is, that it dried way to quickly and I struggled to create a even wing. The color is beautiful and it gives you that 50's look, but this liner is not something I will reach for everyday. This is just my opinion and maybe it will work better for you. It is affordable, only R59.95.

I'm a bit torn with this cream eye shadow from Catrice, the colors are insane. So creamy and metallic, I've been enjoying the metallic look. I'm still getting the hand of applying the creamy texture. I can't seem to blend it that well, maybe it's just me but I have managed to get better, by just using my finger to apply it.
It's beautiful but you should just be careful of not applying to much, because mine became to chawky. But overall, I do like the collection. There are a few shades.
1. 010 California Creaming
2. 020 Champagne Show
3. 030 Dose of Rose
4. 040 Brown Under
5. Smart Mauve
So there we go guys, I hope I gave you more insight into some of these makeup products. I hope you guys have a great week and will chat soon.
xoxo
