Hello to all my Slaying Gals!
Wow it's been days since I did a post. I had a little break at the end of January but, now I'm back in full force. I really hope you guys are having a great year so far. I can't believe we are in February already, where did the time go?
Today's post is all about my current skincare products from The Body Shop. I have always struggled with problematic skin, as mention before. I suffer from eczema and acne but, things are looking up. I normally used very medicated skin care products, not saying it's bad but sometimes you need these types of skin care products to heal your skin, believe me, I've been there.
I just decided to try the all natural way after my skin healed after all the medication, and I've never looked back since. None of theses products irritated my skin or give me bad breakouts, yes I still get my little pimple here and there when it's that time of the month. The Body Shop products are natural with no harsh chemicals and, best of all they are cruelty free. So let's get into the post where I share my favs with you.
I use all of these products in my daily skincare routine. I don't want to over stimulate my skin, so I really just use the basics. How ever I still use other products for my pampering day such as masks and scrubbing. I've yet to try some of their scrubs.
The drops of youth is a light weight nourishing day cream that reduces the number, size and intensity of dark spots.This cream is not oily at all and makes your skin feel soft and smooth.

- After 4 weeks you will see results as even skin tone and brighter
I have definitely seen results in the past couple of months. I have a lot of scaring caused by my acne and eczema. It feels like you are not wearing anything and, it absorbs quick into the skin. Cause girlll, I can't take the thick and tacky feel.
Next products I apply is the;
Vitamin C eye review duo and the Vitamin C skin boost Serum:
These products have the most refreshing feeling EVER! It's not that minty or burning effect, just fresh and citrus feeling almost like having an orange on your face :)
I can't go without the Eye Duo, just giving these tired eyes of mine a wake up look. I love how they combined the eye cream an gel together.
The roller ball helps to reduce the puffiness of the eyes and it's so cooling. It retails for R180.
This is probably my favorite product out of the whole collect. The serum not only gives you a radiance boost but also acts like a primer and, damn, its so smooth and makes my foundation apply like a dream. The serum combats tired and dull looking skin.

I love wearing this CC cream with a fresh clean face. The days where I'm in my Pj's lounging in my house and don't like wearing any foundation, and also giving my skin a chance to breath.
It also acts as a pre-foundation primer. When I feeling like having that pregnant glow (without the bun in the oven) I apply it before my foundation or even mixing it in with my foundation. Why I like the CC cream.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing facial wash has been the best facial wash I've used so far. It's infused with potent tea tree oil, cleanses blemished skin with each use. A cooling lather removes impurities and excess oil, leaving skin feeling refreshed and purified. Use daily for shine-free, visibly clearer results.
This facial wash is so soothing and doesn't leave my skin tight and dry. You would think that the facial wash will dry out your skin because of the strong smell, but not at all. It doesn't strip your skins moisture and doesn't make your skin feeling tight. I have drastically seen improvement in my skin.
The reason that I LOVE this collection is the anti-inflammatory aspect of the tea tree oil and anti-bacterial benefit. Having eczema can be a real pain in butt. The cooling effect just helps with flared eczema without drying it out further.

The Tea Tree night lotion is very light on the skin. It absorbs really fast and also gives a fresh feeling. I only apply the moisturizer after I used the cleanser. It replenishes the skin overnight . The gel has a matte look and feel to it. Look I'm no expert or a dermatologist but ,one study found tea tree oil to be just as effective as benzoyl peroxide, but without the negative side effects like redness and peeling.
Fun fact, Tea tree oil is effective as it helps to remove those dry and dead skin cells that cause psoriasis. Its antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral, anti fungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties are what works to relieve itching, redness, and burning.
I don't know why I haven't try this product before, but it has blown my mind. The products from the Body Shop has become my favorite skincare products. I love for what they stand for as well. Their story started with Anita Roddick's belief in something revolutionary, that business could be a force for good, and in 1976 The Body Shop was born.
The reason why I love them is because they enrich peoples lives, and our planet. They are also cruelty free, uses natural ingredients and I'm always up for signing one of their petitions.
I'm sure you guys will also or have fallen in love with their products. I hope that I've giving you some good insight about these products that I use, and hope that I could shed a little bit more light on the darkness of problematic skin issues. This is only my personal experience and opinions on the products that I use. They have a skin care range for all types of skin.
