Affordable Makeup Organizers

Hope you all are ready for the week ahead? Let me just start off by saying, I'm so sorry, I know I haven't been posting the last couple of weeks. Your girl has been sorting out my life, understatement, but all is well in the slaying world now. As sorting out, planning and organizing our lives, I personally need to feel organized in my makeup. Today's post I will be sharing my favorite affordable makeup organizers. Nothing fancy but, they get the job done and looks very pretty. Let's get into the post...

So I will admit, I'm a bit of an OCD freak. My anxiety goes through the roof when all of my makeup is scattered all over the place. We are busy girls and our makeup needs to be close by, as we take forever to get ready for work. It's easier to grab what you need then scrambling to look for everything. Rushing to get the kids ready, packing lunches and brush their teeth you have a moment of " shoot, I forgot to put on mascara", there you leave the house looking like a ghost. These affordable organizers I bought at Dischem Pharmacy. I can't remember their price, but I know that they are not above R400.

Not only does it look clean and organized but, it also protects your makeup. Let's be honest, you get that very proud feeling when you see all your makeup that you bought with your hard earning money. This is my main organizer, it comes with a little mirror, but I can't do my makeup in front of the little itsy bitsy mirror, my face is to big (haha). These are not acrylic boxes but, they are very strong plastic boxes. I'm not hating on the acrylic boxes, I personally don't want to spend R2000 on a box, as they do exact same thing. It has one big drawer with some lipstick holders as well as big spaces for your makeup brushes.

This organizer is one with a flat top with one big drawer and to small ones. They slide very smoothly in and out and, I keep the majority of my smaller eye shadows in here. The nice thing about this box is the flat top. I bought 2 smaller holders which I can place on the flat top, you know, maximizing all the space.

You guys can see how you build your own little tower. They top one fits perfect on top of the bigger one and, it doesn't move around because that will just be a disaster. So this little one I bought is a big lipstick holder. You can see all the different colors lipstick and, you don't have to go and look for the shade you want to wear. The majority of the lipsticks fits in this holder.

It also has a little flat compartment next to the lipstick holder, this is where I put some of my face products that can't fit in the drawers. The thing that I love about these containers, is that you can clean them easily. Just a little bit of soap and water. I clean mine every 3 months, as the makeup can stick to box or I touch it when I'm busy creating my master piece, jokes!

Then for my brushes I just did a little DIY holder. This is a little jar that I bought that had a little plant in it. So when it died I just threw the makeup brushes in. I don't place my brushes in the organizer as they are a bit to big.
